Apparently, Iz & I have a new Sunday night routine.
It's not what you think. :)
Iz had gone to bed & I was in my scrapbooking room last night when he yells, "Hey Juls...that rodeo stuff is on again!" Sure enough...bull riding was back. You know, I used to watch Desperate Housewives on Sunday nights. I don't quite know how it has morphed into bull riding & extreme fishing. (That comes on after bull riding.)
So we watched bull riding together. If you know me at all...you know that there's probably not even one teeny tiny little ounce of western-type-cowboy/girl blood in me. It is a WHOLE different way of life. I can appreciate it...it's just not for me. I love reading The Pioneer Woman's blog...but no way would I do Wife Swap with her.
So it's pretty hilarious that two city-slickers are laying in bed making comments like:
"Did you see that? He had a 1.7 second buck-off time. That's not even long enough for the slow-motion replay!"
"Hey, didn't that guy ride Hot Stuff last week?"
And in the end, some cowboy won $10,000 and a bunch of points in the bull riding standings. But just so you know...and I know you're terribly interested by now...the guy from Brazil is still in the lead.
And then Extreme Fishing came on. There is no way I should EVER go to Las Vegas. I am way too easily addicted. This guy went to Suriname to catch the elusive lau lau. Translation: big honkin' cat fish. And by the end of the show he caught one so big...three guys couldn't lift it. Seriously, freakishly, mutantly big fish. I think it is fairly safe to say that I will NEVER go swimming anywhere in Suriname. Not with stuff like that in the water.
Today is my mom's birthday. Happy birthday mom!
And the last day of March...it went by so fast. Hard to believe it's April tomorrow. Today is also Isabelle's principal's 40th birthday. So all the kids at her school are supposed to wear black. She gets VERY into stuff like that. So she's in black from head to toe today.
Things got a little silly in the kitchen before school this morning. Suffice it to say...there was a natural gas contest. Many participants...one clear winner. And she's dressed all in black. That's my girl. :)
