Yesterday I cleaned my scrap room. Now I just did that not too long ago, but this is different. Last time was more of a sort...I went through everything and made a huge garage sale pile. Yesterday was moving stuff around and organizing. Wanna see? I know I've said this before, but hey...the top of my desk is red! And I know that because now I can see it. :)
Iz couldn't see a difference...except the same, "hey, your desk is red" comment. But believe me, I moved stuff. And it made me want to make stuff. And that's fun. :)
Ian is still practicing his bike.
He was having a cow because his training wheels were "crooked". I tried explaining that they weren't supposed to all be touching the ground...that it was to help him with balance. More cow. Thankfully Isabelle stepped in and "fixed" his training wheels. I don't know what she did...but judging by the picture, we now have 3 wheels on the ground in the back and one happy boy. Whatever. He's getting much faster...
although hills are still a challenge.
And just because it's funny:
Poor Lola indeed. She's been a crabby, hissy little thing lately. And so possessive. HER windowsill (or she hisses), HER end of the bed (or she bats him on the head), HER hallway, HER spot in the sun, HER everything. Bossy girl. So any other day I would have scolded Iz for teasing her...but today it's funny.
Hey, it's almost August! Happy last day of July. I'm working at the store today...yay! August is FULL of good things. It's Ian's birthday. It's my brother's birthday. It's Alissa's anniversary. Iz & Luke are going to Chicago & then on to see his folks. It's the Fair...which is only good because of the funnel cakes and photo opps. But I got a great deal on tickets & ride bracelets at Papa Murphy's. 2 adult admission tickets, 2 children's admission tickets, and 2 kid's all day ride bracelets for $50. Great deal. :) Anyhow...August. What's that other little thing that happens in August???
THE KIDS GO BACK TO SCHOOL! And football starts...although Luke still can't decide what he wants to do. Ian is so excited for kindergarten.
I love August.
