Today I really am going to get the dry ice. I tried to go yesterday, but was told to buy it the same day you are going to use it. The lady at Lynden Ice was really nice (that rhymes)...answered all my questions. She said 1# of dry ice lasts about 7 minutes or so. So I'm getting 5# and whatever's left (if any) will just smoke in a metal tub on our porch.
I attempted to wrap myself in the mummy strips yesterday. A trial run, if you will.
And I found out that it's much easier to wrap someone else in 12-yard strips, than to do yourself. I'm going to have to have Shelby wrap me or something.
I went to Ian's party yesterday. Such a fun afternoon. As we were leaving I heard one little boy say, "This was the best day, EVER!" :)
Belle's class had fun too.
Remember I said she didn't like the fangs since she can't talk in them?
I mentioned this to her teacher...and then she laughed and requested a set for the classroom. :P
Belle's friend Amanda...her mom made the Halloween treats.
Including eyeball cupcakes:
and cheese stick fingers:
Iz went to the football game in Burlington...Lions won 20-0. Although I guess it was so crazy windy, one of our punts went backwards! :)
Belle had gone to Amanda's house to play and watch a movie...so it was just me, Ian & Shelby last night. We got Chinese food from the place in Lynden (new management). The food is yummy. If you dine-in...make sure you allow plenty of time. We did take-out.
I got all settled in to watch my movie (sorry...it's Masterpiece Mystery, not the BBC)...and about 3 minutes in, realized I'd already seen it. Hate it when that happens.
It was good anyway...the second time. I put two others on hold at the library.
So. Today's schedule is pretty simple.
1. Buy dry ice.
2. Ian goes to a birthday party.
3. Belle has her last soccer game.
4. Dress up for Halloween pictures.
5. Trick or treat.
yay! Have a fun, safe Halloweenie!
