Sandy, Alissa & I had a lovely day in Snohomish last Saturday. It was Alissa's birthday yesterday, and so we were celebrating.
The antique stores there are so much fun.
Our first stop was Annie's...where there was lots of cute things like this:
I got the taller green ribboned one in the middle...to put with my 'old medicine stuff' collection.
My mom has one of these...a lot like the one on the right. With a bowl that it sits in...so pretty.
This old typewriter was super cool. My dad had one a lot like it...but he got rid of it.
I'm still bitter.
waving...hi Sandy and Alissa! They're in the background.
There were lots of pretty sparkly things.
Things that wouldn't go home with just anybody.
(The urge to try this on was almost overwhelming...but the people who 'owned' the booths were almost stalkerish...they were everywhere.)
And some disturbing things. I really, really thought Miss Sandy should buy this. After all, it isn't every day that you find a fake head with your name on it.
She did not share my enthusiasm.
There were buttons to peruse.
And personalized crocheted panties. Although this could go under disturbing, as well.
It might actually be some sort of dish cloth.
But that doesn't make it any less disturbing.
I found this super cute old drawer/shelf/dresser thingy. Alissa emailed me a picture of it on my phone...but I don't know how to get it out of my phone email.
Sandy & I reeeeeeally thought it would fit in the trunk. But it didn't.
So Iz & I are going back to Snohomish today to pick it up.
Isn't he sweet? :)
Have a nice Memorial Day...
