Apologies if you've had one of those weeks that seems to go on forever and ever.
For me...I feel like I blinked, and it's Friday already.
Some random fun things:
1. Grandiflora.
Such a fun store to visit if you're ever in Lynden! Even though they have a sign that says "Your husband called...he says you can buy anything you want!"...I tried to show a little restraint. So hard when the shop is full of pretty things.
I did come home with these:
Love that aqua thread spool...and they had fun nests. And you could buy as many eggs as you needed! Which was great, because I was having a really hard time finding four eggs.
I also found some candles for the candelabra I found at an antique store in Portland (Sellwood). Pictures coming, I promise. I'm putting it in my scrap room...which...hopefully...will be done today! Woohoo!
2. champions!
Isabelle's team had their last fast pitch game last night. Holy cow.
They finished their six innings (2 and a half hours!) in a tie...and then decided to play an extra inning.
Isabelle pitched (soooo nerve wracking when your kid is pitching. I had to leave and go to the bathroom.) and she held them to no runs! yay!
Then their team had runners on first and third...Belle was up. No kidding. 2 outs, 2 strikes...and she creamed one to right center for the game winning hit. :)
I'm pretty sure she fell asleep with a smile on her face.
Here's her coach giving her her trophy (their team finished in 1st place...yay!)
Seriously. Same grin all the way home. Eating pizza. Into the shower. Laying in bed.
I love seeing her so happy.
3. Timeless layout.
I can't remember if I showed this one or not. I am a year older, after all.
I used the TC Timeless line...but with some yellow. I love yellow and gray together.
4. Pinterest inspired DIY.
So I found this while pinning...
and thought...isn't that cool?
So I started looking for cake pans in the thrift stores.
I ended up with some sort of colander type thing...which I like because of the handles. And then an old pie tin for the middle...and a cake pan for the top. Found the candle holders at Ikea on our girls' weekend to Portland. And used Quick Grip to hold everything together.
Fun and super easy. Note: Quick Grip leaks through colanders. For awhile I thought my fingers were permanently stuck together.
Happy Friday...and enjoy your weekend!
