1. Week 1...
Yay! 1 week down...51 to go! :)
Right now I'm using Becky Higgins page protectors.
The 2013 card was a free download that I printed off.
I'm trying to keep the pages semi-flat...but still want to add fun doo-dads here and there.
So after a whole week, I have learned:
---I need to think about 4x6 stuff more. I was so focused on those stinkin' cute 3x4 openings...and how I was going to fill up 8 of them, that I didn't realize there were 8 4x6 spots too. Duh.
---I NEED TO TAKE MORE PICTURES! My camera is heavy. I don't want to lug it around everywhere. But I do need to lug it around a little more.
---I need to be more picky about buying those 12x12 papers with all 3x4 cut-apart journal cards on them. Seriously. I'd get so excited to see one, and think...'ooooh! Project Life!' And now I'm looking at my stash going, 'what was I thinking? I will never use this'...
---I have a drawer for PL stuff. I thought I wanted to keep everything (journaling cards) whole...and cut stuff out as I wanted it. The result was a full drawer. And it's only January 10. So yesterday I cut everything apart...and got rid of things I KNEW I wouldn't use. Then I found a couple of cute pans in the back of my kitchen cupboard...and used them for the cards. 4x6's in one...3x4's in the other.
I want to make little dividers for them...so I can find stuff quicker.
---COLOR, COLOR, COLOR. I love black and white pictures...but I have to remember maybe not to use too many one one spread. The whole middle section of my second page looks gray to me. Black & white pics and then the cute (but gray also) cards with the states on them.
Ok.
And something non PL related that I learned:
---A lot of us like NCIS.
---We like it a lot.
---I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks of Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, Ducky, Abby & McGee as part of the family.
So. A question for you...Tony & Ziva. They're hinting at getting them together. Just little things I see on the show. And every time I'm yelling at the tv, "NO, NO, NOOOOOO!" Because I don't think they should be together...that it would be the kiss of death for the show. What about you???
