Well... we had such a great time. :) It was 90 degrees and pool heaven in Scottsdale. The day we went to the Grand Canyon, the bus driver said it was the nicest day of the year so far. (It had snowed 6 inches 4 days earlier).
I think I took 600+ pictures...and it will take me awhile to get to them all. ugh...
I don't want to get behind on Project Life, so I'm going to pick out my favorites and work on that today. (Among piles of laundry and lots of other things.)
But it's all GOOD.
A few of my favorites...
I confess...having never been to Arizona before...all I knew about the Grand Canyon was from TV...(mainly Wile E. Coyote cartoons). And in my head I had it pictured as this huge, beautiful hole in the ground. You'd walk up to a railing...look at it, and go "Wow...that's beautiful. Guess that's it though!"
HA.
HA HA HA HA HA.
It is VAST. Like no pictures can do it justice. And it's not a hole or crater in the ground....it's a canyon that just goes ON and ON. So. Amazing.
We walked about 2 1/2 miles along the Rim Trail. In NO way am I adventurous enough to hike down. Iz wants to go back with Shelby to do that. Have fun, I say...I will wait for you at the top.
In lots of places there are railings and such to keep people from the edges. But there's lots more open areas. Seriously...you don't hear about it on the news...but I wonder how many ding dong people get too close to the edge and go over every year?
That would be a one-way trip, by the way.
LOVED the Grand Canyon.
Iz and I both can check it off our bucket lists...but we both want to go back. :)
There was also lots of this in Arizona:
Pool time. Not much better, if you're 10.
This was the pool at our hotel in Scottsdale...The Fairmont.
The view from our balcony.
Not bad, as views go. :) Even the JD Gator. I'd love to have one, even though I have no practical use for it whatsoever.
And coming home...
There's no place like home...
Have a great Monday....
Did you ever get my texts yesterday Luke???
