Thank you Miss Sandy! The 'God Save the Queen!' crop was a huge hit. :) The food was fabulous...we had tea in the afternoon...AND I actually got some stuff done. (If you know how I am at crops, you know this is a big deal.) Thanks to all the fun ladies who were there...it was a hoot!
2. Good news!
Way to go Shelby!! She finished her 12 mile ruck test in under the required time. Air Assault here she comes. Gulp. She and another Plebe girl from track stuck together and did great. Nothing says fun on a Saturday like hiking 12 miles with a bazillion pounds on your back. Take care of those blisters, sweet girl. I'm so proud of you!!!! :)
The Lynden prom was this weekend. Belle didn't go...but she and a bunch of other freshmen attended and helped, at the teacher's request. They all went out for dinner...so fun. This is Belle and her good friend Natalie:
I did get sent a selfie. Love these two beautiful girls.
4. And Belle had her last soccer game...
For now anyhow. Try-outs are next month for the summer and spring teams.
She got flattened for a penalty kick in the second half. She nailed it to tie the game.....we ended up losing 3-2, but they were a good team. Physical too...Belle has a turf burn the size of a dinner plate on her bum. And poor Sierra had two marks on her neck that I swear look like a vampire bite.
These girls have played Rangers together for a looooong time. Love you Sierra, Belle & Erin!
Love how some aren't looking, some are crabby, and some are smiling! Belle is third from the right. Good job girls!
Very little, as it turns out. The very first track practice Belle tweaked her back, and was out of everything for a couple of weeks. Then her knee was being irritable...and now she has a shin splint. So even though there's a meet left, she is all done.
She did compete yesterday though...
Long jump pictures are fun. :) Hard on the shin though. :(
Ok, her armpits are totally shaved. That's a shadow. She would SO want you to know that.
She opted out of the 200, but ran her leg (second one) of the 4x400. And she rocked it! Even with her shin. She was all gazelle and no giraffe. ;) Love you Belle. You did great!
Got a text from Shelby at 3:30am (6:30 her time)...woke up with a swollen eye. She was at the doctor getting it checked out. Haven't heard an update yet, but here's hoping it's not a big deal. If she gets confined to quarters, she misses all her classes. And it's just soooo easy to get behind. :(
Then I dropped my iPad in the bathtub. Spare me the lectures. I know...I know... I look at my iPad in the tub ALL the time. A million times without a problem. But I guess the ledge of the tub was wet and I didn't notice. Sucker slid right in.
Slow-motion with warpy voice......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... I had a cover on it, and the weird thing is...it still works. I used the hair dryer on the charge cord hole, and then plugged it in. Nothing sparked, and I wasn't electrocuted...so that was good. I'm actually hoping it's going to be ok. I think the cover took the brunt of the water. Here's hoping.....
Mom & I hit Starbucks and then Bellingham. She is such a hoot.
2. Did I mention...
that Luke is coming home next month with his girlfriend?
Kidding. We are super excited...
Can't wait to see you Luke & Hannah!
3. This girl...
Was happy to get her slightly belated birthday gift from her brother. An Army Pillow Pet...isn't he cute? It's a mule...
Speaking of the Army/West Point...they decided to re-brand and have a new logo. They're still the Black Knights...but the logo isn't a Black Knight...now it's:
It's the same design as on the crest. I don't know. I'm confused. I was kind of hoping for the mule again.
4. Planner fever...
I don't need another one. But they had the new Heidi Swapp planners at Michaels... and I had a 50% off coupon, making it $15 so I gave in.
I'm not going to use it as a planner, per se...more of like a Project life companion book. I'm not writing everything down again, just the big main things...so that when I go to journal for PL I can see what we did when.
