He got home hours later then he was supposed to. United overbooked his flight from Sioux Falls to Denver. They tried to entice people to get off with vouchers. Luke actually thought about it, but it put him into Seattle at midnight instead of 5:30. So then they kicked two people off the flight, and it took an hour to do this and find their luggage. So he and a bunch of other people missed their Denver connection.
By 9 minutes. Way to go, United. Make 100 people wait over an hour for your overbooking mistake, and then don't hold a plane for 9 minutes. And then re-book everybody. You suck.
We got home late, and I had two oh-so-not-excited-for-their-last-day-of-school children this morning! :)
But he's home!!
Shelby is Sunday...she has a calculus final today and philosophy tomorrow. Bleah.
Today is a little crazy. Iz is officially on vacation for the rest of the year! There's a ton to do before the kids come home.
The weekend was soccer, basketball, volleyball and tolo.
This is a really bad iPhone, bad lighting picture...but you get the idea. I have a couple others on my big girl camera that I hope are better. Belle and Natalie looked so pretty! :) And her cute date is like 6' 4", so Belle wore heels!
Happy Monday...off to fortify myself with Starbucks. Don't you love when they email you you have a free one coming? Venti it is!
Don't spray paint in the house. Even if you have a cute little contained box, and it's only a few little things. You may not get paint anywhere it shouldn't be...but the SMELL. Holy crap, how did I forget what spray paint smells like?
Ok...new Typepad thing. Automatic number formatting. Hate it.
Another thing I learned...don't let your daughter get to your Birch Box. She will want to steal things. Like that dry shampoo. And that eye shadow. This looks like a fun box. I'll/we'll give them a try and let you know.
In other news...
MY KIDS ARE COMING HOME NEXT WEEK!!!!!!
I am so excited. And Iz has vacation time. Woohoo!!
Ack! I don't even have a December banner yet. Things have been absolutely nuts. We went to San Diego last week. It was sunny and in the 60's! So nice to feel the sun again:
And very weird to see Christmas decorations with palm trees. :)
We stayed at the Hyatt, right on the marina. I tried to find a boat with a naughty name, but alas, they were all quite lame.
We were only there Tuesday through Thursday...Iz had meetings for work, so I went exploring. Seaport Village is always fun. I did attempt to walk to the Gas Lamp District, but it got a little sketchy for this Lynden girl, so I turned around and went back to the hotel.
There was a Starbucks right across the street :) Even though Siri told me the closest one was 2 miles away. Siri sucks.
And then we went home to this:
Ian's version of watching Belle's soccer game in the rain and cold.
WE HAVE THE PERMIT!!!! :) And we're breaking ground today. We are so excited... I need to run out there and take pictures of dirt. ha ha
The to-do list today is a little out of control...so happy Monday to you!
