And it IS a happy Monday.
We had such a scare yesterday.
Luke had a friend over Saturday night...and when he left (around 1am)...Luke helped him carry his stuff
to the car. They left the door open while doing this.
Fast forward to 5am when Rocket barked thinking it was a great time to start the day.
(Super early for him)...Iz went to let him out, and there was Ziva outside sitting on the mat.
He let her in...let Rocket out...
Couple hours later, we tell the kids what happened...but nobody can find Ziva in the house.
And we looked everywhere.
Luke finally figured it out. When the door was open, BOTH cats got out...and Iz had let Kate in.
Ziva was still missing outside. :(
At the 12 hour point, I was SO worried. She's a little house cat, with no idea how to get along outside.
We have lots of big, male cats that roam around outside in the neighborhood...
she knows how to hiss and swat, but that's about it.
I just had a sinking feeling about the whole thing. Belle posted on Facebook and Lost Pets of Whatcom County.
I couldn't stop tearing up...I just knew it was bad. :(
And then Belle walked in the door...crying, & yelling "I got her! I got her!"
She found her in the hedges between our house and the neighbors...just chilling, like nothing was amiss.
Not a hair out of place...not even dirty. Just hungry. :)
Now that's she's safe, we've decided Luke has cat box duty until he gets married.
In other, VERY happy news...
SHELBY COMES HOME TODAY!!!!!!!!
Actually, at midnight tonight. But I'm counting it!!
It was a LOOOOOONG six weeks at Buckner for Cadet Field Training.
But she did such a great job. Her company got Best Company at CFT...
and her platoon got best platoon!!! She was so excited. :)
Ok, off to the grocery store to get ready. She's been eating MRE's for a long time.
(Those yummy meals in a pouch)...I think she's bringing one home for me.
I'll have to try it and do a video. lol
