Wow...it's been awhile. So glad to be feeling better. If coughing counted as cardio, I'd be at least ten pounds lighter.
Unfortunately that's not how it works, although my sore stomach muscles feel like they did something impressive.
I finally went to the doctor on Thursday, and got antibiotics, an inhaler & the best medicine known to man...codeine cough syrup.
The $50 inhaler was a waste, but the $4 cough syrup was pure gold.
Iz had a friend from church over Thursday night who is helping him with a project. I didn't realize they'd be coming in the house.
I think I was passed out in a codeine haze on the couch, in my fuzzy polar bear pajama pants and a Godzilla t-shirt.
I saw the friend in church yesterday, and he assured me I was coherent and that we talked about my dog. Greeeeeat.
The one good thing that came from being down all week, was that I finally figured out how to run the Netflix remote.
Useful, I know.
And now I truly understand what it is to binge on a tv show.
Absolutely LOVED this:

Very cool... about Elizabeth becoming Queen after the death of her father.
Except I thought there were at least two seasons to watch, and it turns out there's just one. And season two won't be ready until November.
Seriously, what do they expect me to do? Is Philip cheating? What will become of the bratty Princess Margaret? And when will
Winston Churchill finally tip over?
And Belle and I are watching this:

We had watched the regular Scream movies at Halloween...and now found this.
Scary without being too dark. Gory without being gross.
Ok, it's gross. But funny. I just hope that if people in other countries watch this, that's not what they think
American teenagers are really like. Holy crap, if the rest of the world thinks they "know" America from tv...
we are in a lot of trouble.
And Ian discovered:

Which is awesome...because I loved this show. He keeps asking me all kinds of questions, which I won't answer.
Either because I don't remember, or it's just not fair to tell him what I had to wait week by week for.
That hour of tv literally flew by.
On Saturday Rocket was helping me pick up sticks in the yard. But ugh...in our trees by the creek, we have a big
thorn problem. So yesterday after church I went to Bellingham.
Iz had a list of things for me to get at the Man Store...aka Harbor Freight. If you don't have one around you...it's kind of a
cheaper version of Ace Hardware combined with Lowes. You walk in the door and it smells like oil and testosterone.
I got all the things on Iz's list, and while I was in line for the check out I decided I needed a machete.
Mostly because it was on an endcap right by the check out stand, was on sale for $5, and I'm a sucker for impulse buys.
Like when you're in the grocery store, and you throw a candy bar or a pack of gum on your pile of stuff.
Yesterday it was a machete.
And yes, I know that for $5 it's not probably a very good one. But I seriously heard Indiana Jones music in my head,
and I had visions of cutting a swath through those crappy thorns.
And by the way Harbor Freight check out guy...you suck. You suck for making me go out to my car for my coupon
after you scanned one you had handy for the GUY in front of me in line.
Ok...that's about it.
Belle has painted the cutest pig ever. Can't wait to show you.
Happy Monday...
